Two owners of TOPS Ltd, Claude Guay and Ed Faries are directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the business.
Claude L. Guay CPA, CA, President and Owner, has over 25 years of experience in the office equipment and supply business. Claude is also responsible for the company’s finance, office supplies department, on-line catalog and our supply and printing business division. Cornelia Rawlins (Office Manager), Deborah Monk and Lisa Watts work in our accounting department. Their efficiencies and knowledge in their area of expertise contribute greatly in maintaining our high standard of service to our clients. In our supply and printing division, Ari-Jenay Tucker provides in-depth knowledge and experience for all your custom printed business forms, office furniture, promotional items and packaging needs. She can also work with you in providing office design and CAD system layouts for your furniture requirements. Ed Faries, Vice President, a Bermudian and Owner, also has over 38 years of experience in the photocopier and supply business. Ed was a previous owner of very successful office equipment business Chips Ltd. He heads up our office equipment team and our service department. We have a very experienced service department with six factory-trained technicians (Orlando Scarth, Daron Roach, Gary Joel, Khalil Mousavi, Clive Gift, and Jose Saudade), who all have a wealth of knowledge in all areas of office equipment. Konica Minolta will not release a new product to any of its dealer representatives until at least one technician has passed the specific equipment course at Konica University. Our service team has over 100 years of combined experience. Jim Ferguson, Bermudian and owner, retired as President on October 31, 2016. Jim is currently a Director and worked for 21 years since the beginning of our company in 1995. Jim was extremely knowledgeable and experienced in our industry and his contribution to our success and growth of the company was invaluable. Ed Faries, James "Herbie" Adderley, and Mary Mello. With a combined sales experience of well over thirty years, they offer an in-depth knowledge of the products that they represent. They are the major reason why TOPS was awarded the prestigious Crystal Lion Award for being the #1 International Digital dealer in 1998 and 1999, highest quota achieved in 2006 and 2007, Highest Revenue Award 2011, and Top Export Dealer Award 2013 and 2015. The Office Supplies & Delivery Team Our "front line" for office supplies - Zina Simons, Arretta Furbert, Stacey Every and Patrick Pedro - is friendly and knowledgeable and has received numerous compliments for their helpful attitude. Our policy is that the telephone should not ring more than twice before any employee will receive the call and assist the caller whether it be for placing of an order or receiving a call for service on a piece of equipment. Our delivery personnel - David Wall, Maxwell Burgess, Treadwell Walker and Zeko Burgess - are an important part of the TOPS team and are ready and willing to assist the customer by picking and delivering the product to the correct location, not just to the front door. Warehouse/office facility Our present office and warehouse facility located on Mill Creek Road encompass nearly 15,000 sq. ft of air-conditioned space on all three floors, including a networked demonstration room able to show the full range of Konica Minolta copiers/printers/scanners. This facility has the latest technology in security systems monitoring door access, CCTV, video intercom, burglar and fire. This facility was completed in July of 2002 and was purposely designed to operate efficiently in our industry with two container-loading bays and an elevator to access all floors easily. |
