Our Green Policy

TOPS Ltd. recognizes that our day-to-day operations can have an impact both directly and indirectly on the environment. We seek to protect and improve our environment through good management and by adopting best practices wherever possible.

The 3 R's

We believe in the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) and have formulated this into our daily business practices. TOPS Ltd's staff will continuously work to integrate environmental considerations into our business decisions and adopt greener alternatives wherever possible.

In all our daily activities, we aspire to:

• Comply fully with all relevant legal requirements, codes of practice and regulations
• Prevent pollution to land, air and water
• Reduce water and energy use through proper control of air conditioning temperature and light usage throughout our building facility. We also only use instant water heaters and use Energy Star certified office equipment.
• Provide staff with recycle bins in our facility to dispose of aluminum cans and glass containers
• Minimize waste and increase recycling within the framework of our waste management procedures by proper disposal of e-waste (office equipment, toner cartridges, imaging units, etc) through our partnership with the Ministry of Works & Engineering recycling initiative program
• Promote environmentally responsible purchasing for our clients through our Green Product catalog of office products and supplies such as FSC certified products (certified forests guarantee) for copy paper and Energy Star efficient electronic products
• Partner with vendors such as Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA, Inc., who integrate a zero waste policy into their production line of office equipment and Domtar who is committed to the environventally responsible production of paper and sustainability of our forest
• Provide representations to sustainable development groups such as Greenrock who focus on empowering individuals and companies to do their part in making Bermuda socially, economically and environmentally more sustainable for future generations.
• Continuously train and educate our employees on good recycling practices
